1MG3 ET TMG3 – FESTIVAL DU FILM BRITANNIQUE DE DINARD
Une journée que je ne suis pas près d’oublier…
Vendredi 23 Septembre 2022, il est 8h10 notre sac à dos à la main, nous sommes fin prêts à partir. Accompagnés de musique, nous sommes arrivés à Dinard afin de visionner notre tout premier film de ce festival se nommant « Limbo ». Impatients de le visionner, nous avons vite pris place dans le cinéma. Ce film racontait une histoire qui nous a tous particulièrement touchés, celle d’un jeune musicien syrien prénommé Omar. Il ne quitte jamais son Instrument qui pour lui représente toute sa vie. Toutefois, celui-ci vit dans des conditions lamentables, gelé, loin de sa famille, n’ayant pas beaucoup de nourriture et j’en passe. Seule l’idée d’obtenir très bientôt une vie meilleure leur permet de tenir le coup. Après ce moment fort en émotion et avoir pris quelques photos souvenirs de cette journée nous sommes partis manger, puis nous réchauffer avec un bon chocolat chaud. Nous nous sommes ensuite rendus au Palais des Arts dans lequel nous avons regardé « Days of the Bagnold Summer ». Ce film nous a beaucoup fait rire en particulier le personnage principal, un adolescent de 15 ans avec un style gothique aimant le rock mais n’ayant aucune motivation pour travailler dans la vie active pendant ses vacances. Malgré le fait que ce film soit comique il fait aussi réfléchir sur la relation qu’il entretient quotidiennement avec sa mère pouvant ainsi refléter ce que peuvent vivre certaines familles. Toutefois, nous en sommes sortis heureux car à la fin tout s’arrange entre eux. Après avoir visionné ce film, c’était déjà l’heure de partir. Contents de notre journée nous sommes rentrés dans le car à Rennes avec de beaux souvenirs en tête.

Limbo is a film about an immigrant group containing 4 individuals whose main character is Omar, a refugee who fled the war in Syria and is now patiently waiting for his asylum in Scotland to be able to go to London, find a stable situation with a stable job and send money to his family who stayed in Syria. Omar was well-known in Syria thanks to his instrument, the oud, which was given to him by his grandfather. During his stopover in Scotland, Omar met various people, one of whom was particularly important, Farhad. The latter will play an important role in Omar’s life because he will simply make Omar want to play the oud again. At the end of the film, we can see that the only person who got his asylum is Farhad.
Days of the Bagnold Summer is the second film that we watched in Dinard. This film is about a mother and her son, they are called the Bagnold family. The son, Daniel, is a rock person, he wears black clothes all the time. The mother, Sue, met a history teacher, it was Daniel’s teacher. Sue and the teacher, Douglas Porter, had a date at the restaurant, but Daniel does not like this relation.
Unfortunately, Douglas is a bad person, and he only has bad intentions. Finally, Daniel became a singer in a band composed of ten-year-old children. At the end, Sue and Daniel got on well, they were happy, and Daniel washed his hair for the first time.
